Give trees - Grow flowers - Sow hope

Implementation period: 01 month in Program 2 (e.g. from 01/03 to 01/04/2025)

I. PROJECT OBJECTIVES

- Donate fruit trees and flowers suitable for local soil conditions to create food and landscape areas.
- Support disadvantaged households to develop agricultural economic models associated with community tourism.
- Provide guidance on planting, caring for, and utilizing waste as fertilizer.
- Encourage people to create unique tree planting areas - both beautiful - profitable - and attractive to tourists.

II. BENEFICIARIES

- 50 poor households or those wishing to do community tourism.
- Have garden land, have the need to improve their economy with crops - flowers.

III. FUNDRAISING FORM

- Students contribute 50,000 VND/month or 1 flower/fruit seedling of their choice.
- Call on parents, teachers, philanthropists and tourism units to join.
- Publicly disclose financial information on the club bulletin board after each round.

IV. CONTENT OF THE GIFT FOR EACH HOUSEHOLD

- 10 suitable fruit trees (guava, orange, grapefruit, mango, jackfruit, custard apple, etc.)
- 10 typical local flower trees (bouquet, chrysanthemum, lotus, hibiscus, etc.)
- Instructions on seasonal tree care, color and scent coordination to create a beautiful and sustainable landscape.

V. SELF-SUSTAINABLE MODEL

- Fruit trees bear fruit → can be sold, consumed on the spot or processed into OCOP products.
- Flowering trees bloom all year round → attract tourists → increase income from sightseeing, taking photos, and relaxing.
- Utilize compost from organic household waste - straw - leaves.

VI. REWARD POLICY

- Households that take good care of their trees and have a real source of income → will be considered for an additional 10 fruit trees and 10 flower trees each month.
- Coordinate with factories and production facilities that need a stable source of raw materials, helping households have a long-term output for processing and developing local products.
- Prioritize communication support - tourism connection - participation in village fairs.
- Based on the survey results, the Club will choose suitable plant varieties for each land area, avoiding ineffective mass planting.
- Organize technical instruction sessions on growing fruit trees and flowers, with the participation of experts, agricultural students, or local technical staff.
- Coordinate with local authorities (Commune/Ward People's Committee, Department of Agriculture) to survey farming practices, land characteristics, and the need to develop agricultural tourism.
- Soil samples are analyzed for the following indicators: pH, salinity, mineral composition, porosity and water retention capacity.
- The Club will coordinate with the Institute of Agricultural Sciences or specialized universities to collect soil samples from households participating in the project.

VII. COORDINATION IN SURVEYING – SOIL ANALYSIS

IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

- Week 1: Fundraising – land survey – choosing suitable trees – assigning groups.
- Week 2: Buying trees – packaging – organizing exchange – filming emotional clips.
- Week 3: Students guide planting techniques – yard perspective – making biofertilizers.
- Week 4: Recording – supporting communication – reporting results.

EXPECTED RESULTS

- 30 households have livelihood tree gardens and ecological landscapes.
- Building a model model combining farming with green tourism.
- Inspiring hundreds of students to participate in creating new rural areas.
