Give chicken - Send trust

Phase 1: Pilot project model: 01 month (e.g. from 01/08 to 31/08/2025)

Phase 2: Survey and evaluation. Continue to accompany households until chickens are on the market (from 01/09/2025 to 01/02/2026).

Phase 3: Replication of the model.

I. PROJECT GOAL

Students and the community together create clean, cheap, healthy food, from faith and hope.

II. SUPPORTED FFH OBJECTS

FHFVN does not select people based on income.

FHFVN selects people based on their living spirit – hard-working – responsible – and willing to share.

PRIORITY 1: People with difficulties but hard-working

People who are trying to make a living, have the will to rise up but lack opportunities to change their lives.

Strategic impact:

  • Giving to the right person, at the right time – can change a generation.
  • Reduce the burden of social welfare.

Ethical and educational values:

  • “Give a fishing rod – not a fish.”
  • Honor the spirit of self-reliance – not dependence.

Social impact:

  • Creating a beautiful living model in the community: “Just be kind – you will be empowered.”
  • Fight against the mindset of “staying poor to receive gifts”.

PRIORITY 2: People who can create jobs or share clean food

People who can raise chickens, grow clean vegetables and sell them at a reasonable price – or are willing to give them away to others.

Sustainable impact:

  • Bringing the mindset of “social impact investment”: 1 person is given → 10 people have jobs → 100 people have clean food.
  • Help FHFVN become a model of regeneration – no dependence – no resource depletion.

Systemic impact:

  • Building a network of clean food at good prices – with social responsibility.
  • Sowing the motivation to work together – spread together – share together.

Ethical values:

  • “Helping others – is also helping yourself.”
  • Creating a circle of “receive – do – share back”.

PRIORITY 3: People who need to use clean food – regardless of rich or poor

Because health is everyone's right – not anyone's privilege.

Breakthrough sociological thinking:

  • Breaking stereotypes: “Poor = need help, Rich = don’t need to care.”
  • Replace with new thinking: “Anyone who lives decently – has a need for safe food – deserves to be accompanied.”

Community awareness impact:

  • No need to be poor to receive – just live beautifully – live cleanly – live to share.

Community health impact:

  • When clean food is widely spread:
  • Reduce disease – reduce hunger – reduce theft
  • Increase health – quality of life – social peace

III. FORMS OF FUNDRAISING

Contribute a little – Create a source of clean, safe food for the whole society

  • Students of the whole school are invited to contribute 10,000 VND/month, or as they wish.
  • Raise funds from parents, teachers and benefactors – each person a little, but together they contribute to a large resource.
  • All income and expenditure are transparently disclosed on the FHFVN Club website.

Effective spread example – from just 1 person

Starting from school:

500 students – parents – teachers join together → 500 people × 10,000 VND = 5,000,000 VND/month

Invite more friends (each person invites 2 people):

500 × 2 = 1,000 people → 1,000 × 2 = 2,000 → 4,000 → 8,000 → 16,000 people

Total amount raised after 5 rounds of inviting friends:

16,000 people × 10,000 VND = 160,000,000 VND/month

IV. USE OF TRANSPARENT FUND

Each household needs support: 1 million VND - 5 million VND per month (including 100 chickens + seeds + food)
→ 160,000,000 VND / 2,500,000 VND = 64 households to be awarded

In which: 100 chickens x 14,000 = 1,400,000 VND

Calcium worms: 9kg x 90,000 = 810,000 VND

Seeds: 290,000 VND

V. PRACTICAL IMPACT

  • 64 households will become self-sufficient in clean food.
  • Each family is a small supply point that helps create a safe food value chain for the community.
  • The community can buy chickens, eggs, and clean vegetables from the households that they have supported.

VI. CONTENT OF GIFTS FOR EACH HOUSEHOLD

  • 90 hens + 10 healthy roosters.
  • Plant varieties: peanuts, sweet potatoes, potatoes, green beans, black beans, soybeans, vegetables and medicinal plants for chickens.
  • Organic protein: earthworms, calcium worms.
  • Chicken food grinder (if needed).
  • Simple instructions for raising chickens and growing plants, in harmony with nature, with illustrations.

VII. SELF-SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD MODEL

  • Hens lay eggs → eggs for eating, for sale or for hatching.
  • Chickens are born and continue to be raised → flock expansion.
  • The Club can buy back breeding chickens and seedlings to expand the program.
  • Support connecting with product purchasing units if needed.

VIII. FEED SOURCE FOR CHICKEN

  • Households ask for discarded vegetables and clean leftovers at markets, restaurants, and gardens
  • Food is classified and hygienically processed before feeding chickens.
  • Encourage free-range farming to create a clean food source.

IX. REWARD POLICY FOR HOUSEHOLDS WITH GOOD CARE

  • If a household takes good care of its chickens, has income or expands its flock → consider giving more chickens/plants every month.
  • Objective: bring health and sustainable environmental values ​​to society.

X. IMPLEMENTATION PLAN (01 MONTH)

  • Step 1: Fundraising – survey – contact chicken farms – assign groups.
  • Step 2: Buy chickens – buy breeds – prepare – organize donations – record emotions.
  • Step 3: Students support families to post reports on the club's website.
  • Step 4: Return to visit – record videos – report results – communicate.

XI. EXPECTED RESULTS

  • Replicate to schools nationwide.
  • Have photos – videos – transparent reports to spread and inspire.

XII. REASONS FOR BUILDING THE FFH PROJECT

When we went to the market with my mother, we saw the same type of vegetable – but if we left it on the ground, it was 10 thousand, but if we put it on a nice shelf, it was 23 thousand. Chicken at the market was 120 thousand per kilo, but if we put it on a clean shelf, it was 280 thousand.

My mother said: “That difference is the price of trust and hope – hoping that the food is cleaner, and the seller has a more conscientious heart.” That answer made me think forever. And then I realized: If trust and hope are so valuable – why can’t we, even though we are small, contribute to creating it?

We don’t have money, but we have hearts. We ask from those who have the means – and then give it back to those who have the strength. We believe: when farmers are given trust, they won’t need to do anything wrong – they won’t need to spray pesticides, they won’t need to gain weight – because if they just raise the right amount every month, we will continue to give them.

Someone once asked me: “What if they do something wrong?” I just smiled and said: “We believe: you will not have the heart to destroy the trust and hope that we have for your family.” Project 1 “Giving Chicken – Sending Faith” is a journey to help us grow up – with kindness, responsibility, and the dream of living in a society where everyone trusts each other. We would like to start from FHFVN – with the aspiration to spread faith to every corner of the country.
