A passenger bus carrying nearly a ton of smelly chicken cartilage from Laos to Da Nang for sale was seized by the police. The incident was discovered at noon on August 8 when traffic police checked a passenger bus with Lao license plates of Hai Yen bus company running from Vientiane to Da Nang City, on National Highway 1, passing through Phong Thai Ward, Hue.

In the luggage compartment, the police found 19 styrofoam boxes containing rotten chicken cartilage, weighing about one ton in total. At the time of inspection, the food had no invoices or documents.

Driver Nguyen Van Khoa, 39 years old, residing in Hoa Vang ward, Da Nang, stated that the 19 boxes of chicken cartilage were purchased from Laos and brought to Da Nang for consumption. The goods would then be sold to many stores in Da Nang.
